First time Co-organise EU-China Business Summit (2005)

The 2nd EU-China Business Summit attracted over 700 people in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on 5th September 2005, including Chinese Premier Wen, British Prime Minister Blair, European Commission President Barroso and business leaders from China and Europe. Jointly organised by the European Chamber, the Summit ran alongside the EU-China Political Summit taking place at the same venue.

Since 2005, the Chamber has been one of the organisers of all the EU-China Business Summit that took place in China, together with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and other institutions.
