President Ernst Behrens led a delegation of 7 people representing 6 working groups to visit Brussels on 19th and 20th March 2003 to present Position Paper. The delegation met with Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy, followed by a roundtable meeting with senior representatives of the European Commission Trade Directorate.
“As well as being congratulated on the quality and content of the Position Paper, I was left in no doubt by all the officials we met of the very high regard they have for this publication, the availability to them of “on the ground” assessment and that this provides essential input to the shaping of Europe-China trade policy.”
